Mosaic Workshop Description

Learn the basic skills of Mosaic Tiling. Students provide the object or sculpture. Students will learn how to cut and break glass and ceramic tile, what materials and adhesives to use for subzero climates. There will be a grouting demonstration, discussions on cement formulas, how to use pigments and texture a cement surface.

*Some materials and tools are provided.

Workshop Hours: Saturday: 10 am - 5 pm Sunday: 12 pm - 5 pm

Open Studio (Workshop Weekend Only): Sunday 10 am - 12 pm
Mosaic workshop: $175 plus $20 material fee

Materials:

Students provide the object or sculpture and materials to tile with,
there will be tile available at home studio location.
Note: Outdoor pieces, such as bird houses, need non-permeable material to mosaic with.

Also bring: lunch and garden gloves with a thin Nitrile palm
(Atlas gloves are my recommendation), a dust mask or scarf and safety glasses.

Home Studio Workshops:

My farm is located on a high plateau, therefore it is often 10 degrees cooler.
